RESOLUTION NO. 7701
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
PRINT SHOP PHOTOCOPIER
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for three
photocopiers, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to
law;
WHEREAS, the bid of Monroe Systems for Business on Mendota
Heights, Minnesota, the lowest bidder for the Print Shop
photocopier, is rejected as not responsive to the specifications;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that Eastman Kodak of Minnetonka,
Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder for the Print Shop
photocopier;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Richfield, Minnesota:
1. That the proposal dated October 10, 1990, of Eastman Kodak
for a Ektaprint 225 photocopier and maintenance is hereby accepted;.
2. That the mayor and city manager are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Eastman Kodak of Minnetonka,
Minnesota, effective January 1, 1991, in the name of the City of
Richfield for :the following items and amounts:
a. Purchase of Ektaprint 225 Photocopier for an amount
not to exceed $22,482.50;
b. Maintenance agreement for the servicing of the copier
for an amount not to exceed $70.00 per month and
$.0068 per copy for the first twelve months of the
agreement and renewable thereafter at the same rates
offered to other local units of government; and
c. Rental of a 225AF Finisher for a period of up to three
months for an amount not to exceed $190.00 per month.
3. That the city manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Eastman Kodak of Minnetonka,. Minnesota, effective
following the rental period of up to three months referred to
above, in the name of the City of Richfield for the following items
and amounts:
a. Purchase of a 225AF Finisher for an amount not to
exceed $2,380.00; and
b. Maintenance agreement for the servicing of the
finisher for an amount not to exceed $105.00 per month
for the remainder of the calendar year 1990 and
renewable thereafter at the same rates offered to
other local units of government.
