RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIAL LEGISLATION
CONCERNING THE INTERSTATE/LYNDALE/NICOLLET
TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota as follows:
1. By Laws 1992, Chapter 511, Art. 9, Section 26, the
Minnesota Legislature approved special legislation allowing
Richfield to change its election of the way tax increment
receipts from the Interstate/Lyndale/Nicollet tax increment
financing district are treated under the provisions of
Minnesota's fiscal disparities law.
2. Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021, requires that the
City of Richfield approve the special legislation before it
becomes effective.
3. Approval is hereby given by the City Council of the City
of Richfield, Minnesota to the special legislation benefiting
Richfield enacted by the Minnesota Legislature as Laws 1992,
Chapter 511, Art. 9, Section 26.
4. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file with
the Minnesota Secretary of State the required certificate and a
copy of this resolution stating that Richfield has approved the
special legislation, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Section
645.021, subd. 3, and to take any and all other actions necessary
to ensure the effectiveness of the special legislation.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota this 28th day of September, 1992.
