RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE
CONTRACT FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES
BETWEEN THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
AND LICENSED RESIDENTIAL HAULERS SERVING RICHFIELD
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the City of Richfield (the "City") enter into
an agreement for organized collection in the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has authority to enter into this agreement under Minnesota
Statutes, Section 115A.94; and
WHEREAS, the City and licensed residential haulers have negotiated a "Contract
for Residential Solid Waste Collection Services between the City of Richfield and
Licensed Residential Haulers serving Richfield;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richfield agrees that said agreement
would be of benefit to the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, that:
1. The Contract for Residential Solid Waste Collection Services between the
City of Richfield and Licensed Residential Haulers serving Richfield is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor, City Manager, staff, and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary to implement
organized collection pursuant to the approved contract.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 8th day of
June, 2021.
