RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION
JANUARY 12, 1988
Call To Or-der: President Ron Larson called the members to
order at 7:15 P.M. in the Richfield City
Hall conference room. .Ron Larson requested
that Bryan Selland take the minutes.
Roll Call: Present were Severe, Selland, Louis, Long,
Sandahl, Starleaf, Scaglia, Doebler,.Little,
Larson.
Excused: Cerny, Collins, Butler, T,jornhom
9bsent: Triechel
Minutes: Minutes of December meeting read and approved.
Old Business: None
New Business: Severe presented the nominating committee's
proposed slate of candidates before the
commission. They were: Larson for president;
Cerny for vice-president; and Butler for
secretary.
Nominations from the floor were requested by
Larson three times and none were made.
Motion to close nominations was made by Long
and seconded by Selland. Motion carried..
Starleaf moved and Selland seconded that a
unanimous ballot be cast for the nominating
committee's slate of candidates. Motion
carried.
A discussion followed on the procedure for
reappointment of members and the procedure
for receiving new applications.
Sandahl moved that President Larson submit an
article to the Richfield Sun and Richfield
...City/School .paper in April stating that there
.are openings on the Charter Commission and
setting May 15 as last date .for receiving
applications. Motion was seconded and
carried.
Adjournment: Motion was made, seconded and approved to
ad,jour~n the meeting.
