RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION.
MAY 19, 1988
Call To Order: President Ron Larson called the members to order at
7:10 p.m. in the Richfield City Hall Conference Room.
Ron Larson requested that`Jim Collins take the minutes.
Roll Call: Present were Collins, Doebler, Larson, Little,
T jornhom,Severe.
Excused: Cerny, Butler, Louis, Sandahl
Absent: Scaglia, Selland, Starleaf
Minutes: Minutes of the January 12, 1988 meeting was read and
approved.
Old Business: President Ron. Larson reported that articles were submitted
to the Sun Newspaper and the Richfield City/School
encouraging people to apply for the Charter Commission and
how to go about applying. Present members reapplying for
another term are Doebler, Larson, Little, Tjornhom, and
Starleaf. .Members not applying. for reappointment are Long,
Sandahl, and Scaglia.
New Business:. President Larson informed the Commission that
Councilrrember Garcia had suggested a picnic for present
and past members of the Charter Commission. He had
concurred with Councilmember Garcia. After discussion,. it
was decided to hold the picnic at Augsburg Park on June 25
from 1 - 4 p.m. and invite City Council, City Manager,
former and present Charter Commi ssion members. James
Prosser joined the commission and said that he would take
care of reserving the Activities Building in case of rain,
.name tags, and names and addresses of former Charter
Commission members.
Adjournement: Motion .was made, seconded and approved to adjourn the
.meeting.
