RESOLUTION NO. 11751
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
CHANGING THE DESIGNATION OF PROPERTY
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LYNDALE AVENUE AND 64TH STREET
TO “MIXED USE”
WHEREAS, the City’s Comprehensive Plan provides a Guide Plan establishing
particular planning needs for specific segments of the City; and
WHEREAS, the “subject property” comprises five separate lots, addressed as
6345 Lyndale Avenueand 608, 602, 520, and 514 64th Street West; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan designates 6345 Lyndale Avenue South
and 608, 602, and 520 64th Street West as “Medium Density Residential” and 514 64th
Street West as “Low Density Residential”; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the Guide Plan classification and determined
that it would be appropriate to designate the subject property as “Mixed Use”; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and
recommended approval of amending the Comprehensive Plan at its May 27, 2020
meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the amendment to the Comprehensive
Plan on June 23, 2020; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota that the City’s Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended to
designate the subject property as “Mixed Use” contingent upon the following:
1.The revision is submitted to and approved by the Metropolitan Council.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 14th day of
July, 2020.
