AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PAWNBROKER
ESTABLISHMENTS; CHANGING THE AGE LIMIT FOR
PAWN TRANSACTIONS FROM 21 TO 18 YEARS OF
AGE; AMENDING SUBSECTION 1187.43 (A) OF THE
RICHFIELD CITY CODE
THE CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Subsection 1187.43, paragraph (a) of the Richfield City Code is amended
to read as follows:
(a) No person under the age of ~1. 18 years may pawn or sell or attempt to
pawn or sell goods with any licensee, nor may any licensee receive any
goods from a person under the age of ~1- 18 years.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be effective as provided in section 3.09 of the Richfield
City Charter.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 11th day of August,
2009.
