As I mentioned at the October 27, 2009 City Council meeting, Wold Architects has
asked the City Council to meet with them on Monday, November 2, 2009 to finalize
plans for the Council Chambers design in the new City Hall facility.
A memo from Orfield Labs, dated October 26, 2009, indicates specifications for
acoustics, day lighting and audio visual systems in the new Council Chambers. While
Wold Architects has tried to incorporate as many of Orfield Labs' recommendations as
possible, there are certain decisions that must, ultimately, be made by the City Council
in order for the architects to proceed with final plans. The items that Wold Architects will
be seeking input from you on November 2 include skylights, placement of AV devices,
and overall final room design.
Also to be discussed will be terrazzo versus tile flooring.
