We decided to table the appointment of a liaison to League of MN Human Rights Commission until the time we
hold elections for the Richfield Human Rights Commission in June of 2011.

ITEM #5 OLD BUSINESS:
Book Club
We unanimously decided that our first book club event was a success. There were a total of 21 people in attendance.
There was a lot of wonderful input and discussion. We were also happy to see several citizens making new
connections.
Yellow Ribbon Campaign
It was confirmed that the campaign kickoff meeting has been scheduled for 04-11-11 at the American Legion on
Portland Ave beginning at 6:30 pm.

Meeting:
We shared and discussed each person’s HR issues of interest and our goals for 2011.
Areas of interest and take aways related to these areas:
AREA OF INTEREST TAKE AWAY
Domestic abuse
Mental health issues
Disabilities Molly will look into having a guest speaker to attend an HRC mtg
Immigration Todd will contract Mira
Homelessness Kenny/Philip contacting Loaves & Fishes and VEAP
Discussion will continue.

Happenings
We will have a information table at the Cinco de Mayo festival on Thursday 05-05-11.
