We decided to table the appointment of a liaison to League of MN Human Rights Commission until the time we
hold elections for the Richfield Human Rights Commission in June of 2011.

ITEM #5 OLD BUSINESS:
Book Club
Reminder that our first book club event will be held on 03-21-2011 at the American Legion on Portland Ave from
6:30-7:30 p.m. Todd and Nancy will facilitate the meeting. A decision was made to try to come up with questions
related to the book to start the conversation. Each member was asked to email any question ideas to Nancy and
Todd to be added to the agenda. Molly confirmed that we would have a representative from Storefront at the event.
Yellow Ribbon Campaign
It was confirmed that the campaign kickoff meeting has been scheduled for 04-11-11 at the American Legion on
Portland Ave beginning at 6:30 pm. SSG Andrew Peterson will speak to the city council at their next meeting and
will attend our book club event to speak about Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and invite those attending to the kick off
meeting.
ITEM #6 EDUCATION
ITEM #7 NEW BUSINESS:
Meeting:
Due to the number of new members, we decided to table the election for the seats in the Human Rights Commission
until June of 2011.
Discussed the process and the forms of solicitation we will run for nominees to the Gene and Mary Jacobsen award.
Will discuss individual HR issues of interest and 2011 goals in the next meeting scheduled for 04-05-2011.
