ITEM #5 OLD BUSINESS:
Domestic Partner Registry

Reminder to attend the city council meeting on February 8, as the second reading of the Domestic Partner Registry
is on the agenda and there will be another vote.
Book Club
It was confirmed that the first book club event will be held on 03-21-2011 at the American Legion on Portland Ave
from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nancy will be posting a flyer at the Augsburg Library, the Community Center, the VFW and
the American Legion. Molly encouraged all of the members to distribute the flyer to family and friends.
Yellow Ribbon Campaign
For the benefit of the new members, Molly explained that we were approached by Council member Tom Fitzhenry
and asked to collaborate with him in the development of a local campaign within the city of Richfield.
Molly will follow up with Councilmen Fitzhenry to find out when the next meeting will be held.
ITEM #6 EDUCATION
Guest speaker - Amy Dusek – Community Liaison Richfield Public Safety
Amy described her role in the community and explained how the Hennepin County Joint Community Policy
Partnership program works along with the Richfield Public Safety Department.
ITEM #7 NEW BUSINESS:
Meeting:
We welcomed our new commission members and did a round table introduction. Todd Sandell will have Linda
Anderson email the commission bylaws out to all the new members.
Due to the increase in our membership, we will discuss the election of the commission member seats at the 03-01-
2011 meeting.
