Molly met with Richfield H.R. Coordinator, Francie Fletcher, to discuss viability of
Domestic Partnership Insurance for city employees. Ms. Fletcher explained that Richfield
is part of a multi-city insurance coop. Richfield does not have control of the insurance
decisions.

ITEM #6 NEW BUSINESS:
Molly met with the Richfield School Superintendent, Richard Slotterback. He gave her the names of the
MIRA school liaisons. Anthony will call these liaisons to discuss ways the RHRC can be of assistance.
Molly learned that the FMLA in Richfield does not currently have domestic partnership coverage for
bereavement. The city has allowed coverage on case by case basis.
Molly will share the RHRC annual report to the City Council on June 8, 2010.
The RHRC will request a special study session to address Domestic Partnerships.
Willard Stevens is the recipient of this year’s Gene and Mary Jacobsen Outstanding Citizen Award. He
will be presented with the award on June 22 at the City Hall. He will also ride in a convertible in the
th
annual 4 of July Parade.
