RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION
JANUARY 8, 1991
The Richfield Charter Commission met at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday,
January 8, 1991, at the Richfield City Hall. All members were
present except Imogene Mabone.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Minutes of November 27, 1990
were approved as mailed.
Mr. Richard Starleaf reported for the nominating committee, previously
appointed by President Doebler. Said committee recommended to the
Charter Commission the election of Mr. Robert M. Doebler to be President;
Thomas N. Thornholm, Vice President and Thomas E. Ticen, Secretary for
the year of 1991. Nominations were called for and hearing none the
commission unamiously accepted the report of the nominating committee.
President Doebler advised the commission that he had met with the City
Manager and City Attorney concerning the Richfield City Charter and in
particular Chapter 2 thereof and it was his recommendation that the
members familarize themselves with the Charter and be prepared at the
next meeting to make suggestions for any changes that might be needed.
The President also reported that the cost of a special election for
one ward would be $5,000.00 and $10,000.00 for the entire City of
Richfield.
There being no further business to come before the commission the
meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m., awaiting the call of the chair.
