RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION MEETING
November 21, 1991, 7:00 PM
RICHFIELD CITY HALL
Pursuant to notice the Richfield Charter Commission .met on
November 21, 1991 at 7:00 PM at the Richfield City Hall. The
meeting was called to order and all .qualified members of the
commission were present, except for Thomas Tjornholm who was
excused.
The meetings of the May 22, 1991 meeting were approved as mailed
to the members.
The sub-committee appointed to consider .the proposed revisions
to the City Charter made its report.
Upon motion by Johnson and all voting aye it was resolved that
Section 2.03 of the Charter should provide that three of the
council members shall be elected from apportioned council districts
in which they reside which districts shall be divided by a boundary
line running in a generally northerly and southerly direction. One
council member and the mayor. shall b$ elected at large.
There was considerable discussion concerning the sub-committee's
report and it was resolved that they should consider the comments of
the members and to make a further report at the next meeting of the
Charter Commission.
A nominating committee consisting of: Ronald Larson-
Russell Kennedy
Shirley Johnson
was appointed to make recommendations for Charter Commission officers
at the next and annual meeting of the Richfield Charter Commission to
be held January 14, 1992 at the Richfield City Hall at 7:00 PM.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the meeting
adjourned at-8:45 PM.
