President Richard Starieaf called tl~e meeting to order at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The minutes from the December 12, 1995 meeting were approved as submitted.
Annette Marl;arit gave the report fo.~• tlae Nomination Committee. The naninations
for the 1996 officers were a,s follows:
Shvrley Johnson - FresideYrt; .toe Novak -Vice President; A.nxtette Margarit -
Secretary.
President Starleaf asked three tunes for ~~uminations from the Iloor for President.
Hearing none, Starleaf moved to ;lose the nominations and Margarit seconded that
matron. Motion was made for unanimous approval of Shirley Johnson as President and
seconded by Anderson.lohnson approved unanimously.
President Starleaf asked three times for nominations firoxn the floor for Vice
President. Hearing none, Starleaf moved to close nominations and Margarit seconded that
motion. Margarit moved for unanimous approval of Joe Novak for Vice President,
Johnson seconded. Motion. carried unanimously.
President Starleaf asked three times for nominations from the floor for Secretary.
Hearing Wane, President Starleaf moved to close nominations and Johnson seconded that
motion. Motion was made and seconded for unanimous ballot electing Margaritas
Secretary. President Starleaf turned the remainder of the meeting over to newly elected
President Johnson.
Discussion occurred concerning Richfield Charter Section 2.05 as discussed in the
December 12, 1995, minutes. Much discussion occurred regarding Section 2.05(2){vii}, It
was noted that City Manager Prosser raised some questions about the legality of the
provision.
