RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION
Meeting Minutes for
Tuesday January 11, 2000
Call to Order•
President Amy Krauss called the member to order @ 7:OSpm in the Heredia Room of the
Richfield City Hall.
Roll Call:
Present: Edward Thom, Dorothy Holstrom, Gordon Herrboldt, Gordon Anderson, Amy
Krauss, Gertrude Ulrich, Paul Muilenberg, Annette Margarit, Joe Novak, Richard Morey,
and Amy Zabransky
Excused:
Jane Hagen Hendrickson and Tom Ulmer
Absent:
Jan Anderson and Winthrop Zocher

There were no minutes available to approve.
Committee Report:
Nominating Committee Gertrude Ulrich, Joe Novak and Amy Zabransky presented a list
suggestions for new officers: President- Amy Kraus, Vice President-Paul Muilenberg
and Secretary Treasurer-Jan Anderson. A motion was made to nominate Amy Zabransky
as the Secretary Treasurer. Motion passed and members voted to elect the following
persons for the following offices. Amy Krauss-President, Paul Muilenberg-Vie
• President, and Amy Zabransky-Secretary-Treasurer.
Sub-committee on improvements to proposed amendment to Section 8.04.
-The sub-committee did meet with Mike, Public Work Director in December, a lot of time
was spent on defining what a "project" is. There is more work to be done on this and
they will meet again. The committee is looking for new members, if anyone is interested
please let Amy Krauss know.
New Business•
Gordon Anderson presented a letter concerning Leeislative Initiatives and Policies. Mr.
Anderson presented some potential concerns to the Charter commission. This article was
tabled and Amy Krauss agreed to send a copy to members to review.
Residencv of the City Manager
A motion was made to for asub-committee to explore preambles in other cities. No one
expressed interest.
Section 205.
Discuss City Counsel letter re: attendance of city council members. There was an
amendment.
Communication issues
• Next years study session with City Council will be on Monday November 13,
2000.

A motion to adjourn was made by Edward Thom and seconded by Paul Muilenberg.
