MINUTES FOR THE
RICHFIELD CHARTER COMMISSION MEETING
January 26, 1993
Pursuant to notice, the annual meeting of the Richfield
Charter Commission was held on January 26, 1993. The meeting
was called to order at 7:34 p.m.
All fifteen members of the Commission were present. New
members Anderson, Cramer, Holstrom, & Wick were welcomed.
The minutes of the April 30, 1992 meeting were approved
unanimously.
Officers for 1993 were nominated. Richard Starleaf was
nominated for President; Shirley Johnson was nomited for
Vice President; and Dorothy Holstrom was nominated for
Secretary.
President Ticen,. Vice President Starleaf, and Secretary
Norquist were thanked for their service as officers in 1992.
Ticen moved that the commission hire a lawyer to make a
.thorough review of the City Charter. There was no second of
the motion.
Johnson moved and it was seconded that a subcommittee
be appointed to determine what the City Charter says and
what changes need to be made, if any, in the Charter before
a Bonding Bill goes before the voters. President Starleaf
appointed Johnson, Cramer, and Anderson to the subcommittee.
President Starleaf will direct City Staff to mail
copies of the Charter and Bylaws to all commissioners.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:OO p.m.
