2012-08-16 Minutes Richfield Friendship City Commission Minutes,

August 16th, 2012
The meeting was called to order by Roger Swanson. Those present
were Roger Swanson, Dave Delzer & Craig Osten. Minutes of the
June 21 St meeting were approved as corrected. The treasurer's
report of$4092.20 was presented, the change indicated by $13 8.00
for the purchase of the router for the school in Vera Blanca.
Roger reported that fifth graders from the dual language school
were planning to visit Costa Rica next June. He will set up a
meeting with Jen Behnke if he can to share info.
Dave has made inquiries regarding the possibility of a sculpture for
Heredia Park but has still not yet been able to find out anything.
Roger will let us know which city council meeting, the 2nd OT 4th
Tues, in October he is scheduled to give his report. We will try to
attend if we can. The need for appointees for our commission was
discussed.
Also discussed was the next step in cultural exchange. We hope to
invite Heredia as it was their turn to come here.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 15tn
