10-09 Resolution No. 11553 RESOLUTION NO. 11553 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR THE LYNDALE/HUB/NICOLLET (LHN) MAINTENANCE FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2017 TO DECEMBER 31, 2017 WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for current services related to maintenance of the Lyndale/Hub/Nicollet (LHN) Redevelopment Area, which is approximately bounded by 64th Street, First Avenue, 67th Street, and Emerson Avenue in the City of Richfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota as follows: 1. Such proposed assessment roll, in the total amount of $24,107.92 is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed current services in the amount of assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable before or during 2019 and shall bear interest at the rate of five percent (5%) from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City's Finance Division, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid before November 8, 2018. A property owner may, at any time prior to November 15 pay to the City's Finance Division the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which payment is made. 4. The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment roll to the County Auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessment shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
