07-31-84 agenda CITY OF RICHFIELD, MINNESOTA
Office of City Manager
Council Letter No. 264
Agenda July 31, 1984
The Honorable Mayor
and
Members of the City Council
City of Richfield
Subject: Request for Two Temporary Signs, Berea Lutheran
Church
Council Members:
Naegele Sign Company has applied fcr a permit to donate two
temporary signs for the Berea Lutheran Church Carnival to be
held August 1-5, 1984. The signs will be temporary trailer
signs, measuring 12' x 25' and will be erected in the church
parking lot for the duration of the carnival.
The city staff has denied the application on the basis that
city ordinance limits the size of temporary signs to a
maximum size of 12 square feet. Signs of unusual height and
size require council approval. The city council has approved
such temporary oversized sign requests in the past.
These sign applications have been placed before the council
at their special meeting of July 31, 1984 for council action.
` Respectfully submitted,
