RESOLUTION NO. 9760
RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION FOR
VACATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY AND
CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE REQUEST TO VACATE RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the City has received a petition for the vacation of the right-of-way
easement on 6996 Humboldt Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Richfield City Code Subsection 820.03 requires that a petition for
vacation of a street or alley be signed by the owners of at least half of the land abutting the
street or alley to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, there are two properties that abut the right-of-way easement in
question. The owners of both parcels have signed the petition for vacation of the right-of-
way;
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Richfield, Minnesota as follows:
1. A certain petition requesting the vacation of the right-of-way easement on 6996
Humboldt Avenue in the City of Richfield, filed with the City on March 29, 2006, is
declared to be signed by the owners of the required percentage of property affected
thereby. This declaration is made in conformity with Richfield City Code Subsection
820.03.
2. A public hearing on the proposed right-of-way vacation is scheduled for June 13, 2006.
The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of the public hearing in the City's official
newspaper once, not less than 10 days prior to the public hearing.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 9th day of May
