Subject: Consideration of Setting Joint Meeting of the
HRA and the Senior Citizens/Handicapped Commission
And a Joint Meeting with City Council, Planning
Commission and Community Services Commission
Dear Commissioners:
The Chairperson of the Senior Citizens/Handicapped
Commission (SCHC) has requested an opportunity for this
commission to hold a joint meeting with the HRA.
The SCHC commission haS requested that this meeting occur at
the February HRA meeting. However, the date for the regular HRA
meeting is a city holiday (Presidents Day), so the HRA meeting
in February will be held on Tuesday, February 19• The Executive
Director has previously scheduled a joint meeting with the city
council, planning commission and community services commission
for the February agenda. The purpose of the meeting is to
consider the consultant's report on a proposed comprehensive
plan for Legion Lake.
It is, therefore, recommended that the HRA schedule a joint
meeting with the Senior Citizens/Handicapped Commission for the
March 18, 1985 HRA meeting. The writer will inform the SCHC
members about the February meeting since this is one of the
items they wish to meet with the HRA on. SCHC members may wish
to attend the February 19 meeting to learn more about the
Legion Lake comprehensive plan.
