10-10 Resolution No. 11422 RESOLUTION NO. 11422 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR THE REMOVAL OF DISEASED TREES FROM PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR WORK ORDERED DURING JANUARY 1, 2016 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2016 WHEREAS, costs have been determined for the removal of diseased trees from private properties in the City of Richfield and the expenses incurred or to be incurred for such work ordered during the period of January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016 amount to $10,336.69. WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has met and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for current services related to the removal of diseased trees from private properties in the City of Richfield and the expenses incurred or to be incurred for such work ordered during the period of January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Such proposed assessment roll, in the amount of $10,336.69, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named herein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed current services in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in no more than one annual installment and shall bear interest at the rate of five (5%) percent from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City's Assessing Division, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid by November 13, 2017. A property owner may, at any time prior to November 15, pay to the City's Assessing Division the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment roll to the County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
