Issue Statement:
Discussion of City issues with Metropolitan Council Chair Mary
Anderson and Met Council Representative Sondra Simonson.
Background:
This Study •Session will provide an opportunity for the Council to
meet the recently appointed Met Council Representative Simonson.
Also scheduled to attend is Met Council Chair Mary Anderson.
A variety of issues will be discussed. Listed below are some of
the scheduled topics:
s airport update;
s transportation issues, including LRT;
® 800 MHZ radio system;
• City of Richfield Legislative Initiatives and Policies.
Recommended Motion:
The City Council should discuss issues facing the City of
Richfield with the Metropolitan Council Representatives.
Basis of Recommendation:
40 1. This Study Session provides an opportunity to meet with the
Met Council Representatives and discuss a variety of issues
facing the City.
Alternative Recommendation:
1. Do not discuss issues with the Met Council Representatives.
2. Reschedule this discussion for another time.
