Subject: July 20 Police/Fire/City Hall Design Development Review
(Worksession Agenda Item No. ~ )
Council Members:
At the July 20 Special City Council Worksession, representatives from Wold Architects
and Orfield Labs, Inc. will be presenting various issues that require Council feedback
and direction in order for the design development phase to be completed. The topics to
be discussed on July 20 include:
1. Glare control (i.e. what, if any, measures does the Council want taken to reduce
glare)
2. Number of parking spaces (what is the number, of parking spaces Wold should
provide for in the plan if less than what is required by ordinance?)
3. Site plan review (including plans for future -park use)
4. Review of the City Council Chambers meeting suite
5. "General" project updates including floor plans, exterior building elevations and
views, and preliminary material review.
After discussion and feedback on July 20, Wold Architects will prepare a project book
for the Council prior to the July 28, 2009 Regular Council meeting, where the Council
will be asked to approve the design development phase.
