RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 6839 CEDAR AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) in and for the City of
Richfield, Minnesota is supportive of the furthering the goals of the Cedar Avenue Corridor
Redevelopment Area;
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield, Minnesota desires to purchase certain real
property pursuant to and in furtherance of the Cedar Avenue Corridor Redevelopment
Area, said property being described as:
6839 Cedar Avenue South
Lot 13, Block 4, Rich Acres, Hennepin County, Minnesota, except road
WHEREAS, the HRA proposes to hold the property for as part of the future
redevelopment in the Cedar Avenue Corridor area; and
WHEREAS, Housing and Redevelopment Funds are available for acquisition and
removal purposes; and
WHEREAS, the HRA is authorized by Minnesota Statutes Section 469.012 to
acquire real property within its area of operation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority in and for the City of Richfield, Minnesota:
1. The purchase price for the property is approved at $56,000, plus closing
costs, not to exceed $59,000.
2. The Chairperson and Executive Director are authorized to execute a
Purchase Agreement and to take other actions necessary to purchase
the property for the amount set forth in this resolution.
Adopted by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of
Richfield, Minnesota this 15th day of May, 2017.
