02-14 Resolution No. 11330 RESOLUTION NO. 11330 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION RECEIVED BY THE RICHFIELD RECREATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT FROM RICHFIELD READY FOR SUMMER YOUTH TRIPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,050, AND FROM JEREMY AND MARY HANSON FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT WOOD LAKE NATURE CENTER IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000. WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 reads in part as follows: Any city, county, school district or town may accept a grant or devise of real or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize such acceptance or use for religious or sectarian purposes. Every acceptance shall be by resolution of the council adopted by two-thirds majority of its members, expressing such terms in full, and WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has received grants and donations as described below: DATE DONOR PURPOSE AMOUNT Transportation costs for 1/30/17 Richfield READY summer youth trips $2,050 Site improvements at the Jeremy and Mary south end of Wood Lake 1/30/17 Hanson Nature Center $5,000 WHEREAS, Richfield Recreation and Wood Lake Nature Center will make use of these funds to alleviate the cost of the youth summer trips program and site improvements at the south end of Wood Lake Nature Center, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, as follows: That the City Council of the City of Richfield hereby accepts the grants and donations as listed above, received in 2017, and authorizes the City to administer the funds in accordance with grant agreements and terms prescribed by donors.
