RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS FRANCHISE WITH CENTURYLINK
FOR THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the above-referenced ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the verbatim text of the ordinance is cumbersome, and the expense
of publication of the complete text is not justified; and
WHEREAS, the following summary clearly informs the public of the intent and
effect of the ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield that the following summary is hereby approved for official publication:

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS
FRANCHISE WITH CENTURYLINK FOR THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
On January 26, 2016, the Richfield City Council adopted an ordinance designated as
Bill No. 2016-1, the title of which is stated above. This summary of the Ordinance is
published pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Richfield City Charter. The Ordinance
approves a cable communications franchise with Century Link to provide cable
communications services to the City of Richfield.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed to keep a copy of the
Ordinance in her office at City Hall for public inspection and to post a full copy of the
Ordinance in a public place in the City for a period of two weeks. Copies of the
Ordinance are also available upon request by calling 612-861-9738.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 26th day of
January, 2016.
