Issue Statement:
Discussion of the results of the neighborhood meetings regarding the Lyndale Avenue
commercial area from West 77th to 74th. Streets.
Background:
The Planning Commission held meetings on January 17 and 18, 1996 as part of the
Lyndale Avenue Strategic Development Plan process. Businesspersons met on
January 17 and residents met on January 18. Both groups were presented with more
detailed information on potential plans to upgrade the business area. Hoisington
Koegler Group has summarized the results of the public meetings and has gathered
additional information regarding the potential plans for upgrading the area.
Recommended Motion:
No motion necessary.
Basis of Recommendation:
Participation by City policy makers is an important part of this planning process.
Alternative Recommendation:
None.
Discussion/Decision Mode:
The City Council and HRA are invited to participate in the discussion at the Planning
Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 23, 1996, at 7 p.m.
