RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY PUBLICATION
OF AN ORDINANCE TO CONDITIONALLY
PERMIT MICRO-PRODUCTION FACILITIES AND
TAPROOMS/COCKTAIL ROOMS IN
COMMERCIAL AND MIXED-USE ZONING DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the above-referenced amendment of the Richfield
City Code; and
WHEREAS, the verbatim text of the amendment is cumbersome, and the expense
of publication of the complete text is not justified.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield
that the following summary is hereby approved for official publication:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RICHFIELD CITY CODE TO ALLOW
MICRO-PRODUCTION FACILITIES AND TAPROOMS/COCKTAIL ROOMS IN
COMMERCIAL AND MIXED-USE ZONING DISTRICTS
This summary of the ordinance is published pursuant to Section 3.12 of the
Richfield City Charter.
This ordinance adds language to allow micro-production facilities (e.g. micro-
breweries and micro-distilleries) and associated taprooms/cocktail rooms in the General
Business (C-2) and Mixed Use (MU-C, MU-R) Zoning Districts. The ordinance establishes
production limits of 3,500 barrels of malt liquor and 40,000 gallons of distilled spirits for
such establishments as well as prescribing minimum parking requirements, rules for the
sale of growlers, off-street loading, odors and hours of operation. The adopted ordinance
will work in concert with the City's liquor licensing regulations, as well as State laws.
