Agenda September 9, 1998
Issue Statement:
Continuation of consideration and discussion of 1998 Revised/1999 Proposed budget
and 1999 property tax levy.
Background:
On August 27, 1998 City staff began the process of presenting the budget to the City
Council for consideration and discussion. The materials could not be covered with the
time provided on that date so a continuation of the meeting has been scheduled for
September 9, 1998 at 7 p.m. As with the previous meeting, the September 9 meeting
will be televised.
Recommended Motion:
Review the 1998 Revised/1999 Proposed budget, preliminary property tax levy, and
related issues with City Council.
Basis of Recommendation:
The September 9 special Council meeting provides an informal setting to discuss the
proposed budget and tax levy prior to official City Council action on these items on
September 9, 1998.
Alternative Recommendation:
None.
Discussion/Decision Mode:
The September 14, 1998 special City Council meeting is set for the purpose of
continuing the presentation and discussion of the 1998 Revised/1999 Proposed budget
and the 1999 property tax levy.
