RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,743.66, AND
AUTHORIZING RECREATION SERVICES STAFF TO ADMINISTER THE FUNDS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH GRANT AGREEMENT AND TERMS PRESCRIBED BY
DONORS, TO OPERATE THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
AT THE RICHFIELD FARMERS MARKET.
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 reads in part as follows:
Any city, county, school district or town may accept a grant or devise of real
or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize
such acceptance or use for religious or sectarian purposes. Every acceptance shall
be by resolution of the council adopted by two-thirds majority of its members,
expressing such terms in full, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has received grants and donations as described below:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, as follows:
That the City Council of the City of Richfield hereby accepts the grants and
donations as listed above and authorizes the City to administer the funds in accordance
with the attached grant agreement and terms prescribed by the US Department of
Agriculture.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 14th day of July,
2015.
