RESOLUTION NO. 8120
RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY RATE
ADJUSTMENT FOR ELECTION JUDGES
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.31(d) provides that
compensation to election judges serving in any city is to be
determined by the governing body of the city and that election
judges shall receive at least the prevailing Minnesota minimum
wage for each hour spent carrying out their duties at the polling
places and in attending training sessions; and
WHEREAS, the Richfield City Council recognizes the
importance of the role of election fudges in the conduct of
elections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
establishes the following pay rates for election fudges effective
the date of passing this resolution:
Chairperson $6.25 per hour
Asst. Chairperson $5.75 per hour
Judge $5.50 per hour
And that Resolution No. 8087 relating to the 1994
specialized pay plan be amended to reflect these pay rates.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield this
