RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF CENTERPOINT ENERGY
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP GRANT FUNDS RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO ADMINISTER THE FUNDS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH GRANT AGREEMENTS AND TERMS PRESCRIBED BY THE
DONORS.
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 reads in part as follows:
.Any city, county school district or town may accept a grant or devise of
real or personal property. and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize such
acceptance or use for religious or sectarian purposes. Every acceptance shall be by
resolution of the council adopted by two-thirds majority of its members, expressing such
terms in full, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has been awarded the grant as described below,
CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership Grant for $1,520 to be used to defray
part of the cost to purchase a vehicle stabilization rescue system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the City council of the City of Richfield hereby accepts the CenterPoint
Energy Community Partnership Grant funds in the amount of $1,520 and authorizes the
City to administer the funds in accordance with the grant agreements and terms prescribed
by the donors
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 28th day of
October, 2008.
