RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE CITY'S INTENT REGARDING ACCESS TO
LYNDALE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield desires to replace the existing Lyndale Avenue
Bridge over I-494; and
WHEREAS, the design of the new bridge will be able to handle the projected
increase in traffic on Lyndale Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield recognizes the importance of access
management in limiting vehicular crashes on Lyndale Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Richfield expresses its intent to close driveway access to northbound Lyndale Avenue
between I-494 and 77t" Street at such time as the City block bounded by I-494, Lyndale
Avenue, 77t" Street and Harriet Avenue is redeveloped.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 8th day of
July, 2008.
