Subject: 7733 Portland Avenue Proposal
Council Members and Commissioners:
Representatives of Java Properties and Dolphin Group Companies will present a
preliminary concept for a Burger King fast food restaurant at 7733 Portland Avenue
(currently a Sinclair gas station). The property is currently guided and zoned for
Regional Commercial/Mixed Use. The proposal would require approval of both a
Rezoning and a Comprehensive Plan amendment and likely require variances (from the
minimum 2-story building requirement and the minimum distance of drive-thru from
residential use).
