08-10087r RESOLUTION NO.1 0087 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7316 CLINTON AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Richfield, Minnesota (the "City") has considered the purchase of 7316 Clinton Avenue with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds on behalf of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Richfield, Minnesota (the "HRA") for $150,000. The property is legally described as: 7316 Clinton Avenue South Lots 4 and 5, Block 4, Blairs Wooddale 3rd Addition, Hennepin County WHEREAS, the City proposes to sell the property to the HRA for $1.00, in furtherance of HRA housing programs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Charter, Section 13.04, the City is authorized to sell its property following a public hearing for which notice was published not less then ten days before such hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City Manager and Mayor are authorized to take those actions necessary to purchase 7316 Clinton Avenue for $150,000. 2. The City shall hold a public hearing and second reading of the ordinance regarding the sale of the land to the HRA on May 27,2008. 3. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of such hearing in the official newspaper of the City and post notice of said hearing.
