Subject: 66th Street Intersections
(Worksession Agenda Item No. 1)
Council Members:
The City Council will be considering the future of the 66th Street intersections with
Nicollet, Lyndale, and 1 -35W Ramps at the February 24, 2015 Council meeting. Over
the past weeks staff has shared the Transportation Commission's recommendation to
control these intersections using roundabouts (rather than signals) with multiple
stakeholders, including City commissions and impacted property owners (see attached).
At the February 17 Special City Council Worksession, staff will go over the engagement
process and share with the Council the feedback received regarding the
recommendation for roundabouts, as well as follow up on the outstanding questions that
were raised at the January 13, 2015 Council Worksession.
