RESOLUTION NO. 8492
RESOLUTION OF THE RICHFIELD CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, 1997-2007
WHEREAS, the City reviewed the 1982 Comprehensive Plan of Richfield,
Minnesota and determined an update of the Plan was needed given the changing
conditions in the community and the region; and
WHEREAS, the City is required by state statute, Chapter 473.864, Subdivision 2,
to update its Comprehensive Plan byDecember 31, 1998; and
WHEREAS, a steering committee and the Richfield Planning Commission
developed an update of the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing concerning
adopting the revised City of Richfield Comprehensive Plan on June 11, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate jurisdictions have been notified of the "major"
amendment to the City of Richfield Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council reviewed and approved the City of
Richfield Comprehensive Plan on June 12, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing concerning
adopting the City of Richfield Comprehensive Plan on August 25, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota that the City of Richfield Comprehensive Plan, 1997-2007, is
hereby adopted.
Adopted by the City Council of Richfield, Minnesota this 25th day of August,
1997.
