RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION FOR
VACATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the City has received a petition for the vacation of a portion of
Harriet Avenue street right-of-way between 77th and 78th Streets West; and
WHEREAS, Richfield City Code Subsection 820.03 requires that a petition for
vacation be signed by the owners of at least half of the land abutting the area to be
vacated; and
WHEREAS, the land abutting the right-of-way area in question is owned entirely
by a single entity. The owner has signed the petition for vacation of the right-of-way
area;
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Richfield, Minnesota as follows:
1. A petition requesting the vacation of Harriet Avenue street right-of way
between 77th and 78th Streets West in the City of Richfield, filed with the
City on April 30, 2013, is declared to be signed by the owner of the
required percentage of property affected thereby. This declaration is
made in conformity with Richfield City Code Subsection 820.03.
2. A public hearing on the proposed right-of-way vacation is scheduled for
June 25, 2013. The City Clerk has published notice of the public hearing
in the City's official newspaper, not less than ten days prior to the public
hearing.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 25th day of June,
2013.
