RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE
RICHFIELD PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has undertaken an improvement project,
No CP 410007 (North Richfield Parkway Improvement Project) (the"Project"), which involves
the reconstruction of Richfield Parkway 17t Avenue between 63rd Street and 65th Street;and
WHEREAS, in order to construct the Project,the City Council has determined that it is
reasonably necessary to purchase certain real properties located adjacent to 1 7a' Avenue, all in
the City of Richfield,Hennepin County,Minnesota;and
WHEREAS,the City Council has previously authorized an offer to purchase the property
located at 6414-17th Avenue South;and
WHEREAS, the property owners have requested a redetermination of their differential
replacement housing payment and the City's relocation consultant has recommended that
change;and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to approve the purchase of 6414-17th Avenue South
for a purchase price of$165,000,plus relocation benefits as provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota as follows:
-1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to purchase the property at
6414-17t Avenue South for a purchase price of $165,000 and approves a change in the
replacement housing payment applicable to the property at 6414-17 Avenue South assuming
closing otherwise occurs in accordance with the terms of the purchase agreement previously
approved by the City Council for that property.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute any addenda or other
document necessary to implement this change and to take all other actions necessary to
effectuate the transfer contemplated by the purchase agreement.
