RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHFIELD TO
ENTER INTO A SOURCE WATER PROTECTION PLAN
IMPLEMENTATION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR $10,000 TO
BE USED IN THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC
EDUCATION, AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD WELLHEAD PROTECTION PLAN — PART 2
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield Water Department, has applied for and received a
Source Water Protection Plan Implementation Grant in the amount of$10,000; and
WHEREAS, The City intends to use these funds to aid in the development,
education, and enforcement of the City's Wellhead Protection Plan — Part 2; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota statute 465.03 requires every acceptance of a grant or
devise of real personal property on terms prescribed by the donor be made by resolution of
more than two-thirds majority of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Richfield hereby authorizes the Mayor and City
Manager to enter into a Source Water Protection Plan Implementation Grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health in the amount of
$10,000.
2. Appropriate City personnel are authorized to administer the funds in
accordance with the grant agreement and the terms described by the
Minnesota Department of Health.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 14th day of May,
