RESOLUTION NO. 9943
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE THE DONATION RECEIVED BY THE
CITY OF RICHFIELD AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO ADMINISTER THE FUNDS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH TERMS PRESCRIBED BY DONOR -
RICHFIELD TOURISM PROMOTIONS BOARD
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 reads in part as follows:
Any city, county, school district or town may accept a grant or devise of real
or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor. Nothing herein shall authorize
such acceptance or use for religious or sectarian purposes. Every acceptance shall
be by resolution of the council adopted by two-thirds majority of its members,
expressing such terms in full, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has received a donation from the Richfield Tourism
Promotions Board in the amount of $18,019 for promotional costs related to the City's on
May 1,2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, as follows:
That the City Council of the City of Richfield hereby accepts the donation as listed
above for the year 2007 and authorizes the City to administer the funds in accordance with
terms prescribed by the Richfield Tourism Promotion Board.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 12th day of
June, 2007.
