03-9393r 215 I RESOLUTION NO. 9393 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING RICHFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS CAPITAL PROJECTS LEVY REFERENDUM FOR TECHNOLOGY WHEREAS, State funding is not keeping pace with students needs in Richfield Public Schools; and WHEREAS, a successful passage of the capital projects levy referendum for technology will provide the school district with approximately $1.031 million each year for ten years; up-to-date technology in the classrooms, schools and offices; upgrade the technology infrastructure to meet current and future needs; and resources needed to repair and maintain the technology and provide training and support; and; WHEREAS, a successful passage of the capital projects levy referendum for technology will keep the Richfield school system the desirable one that residents have grown to expect; and WHEREAS, the City Council is open to and supportive of all avenues of cooperation and collaboration with the Richfield schools; and I WHEREAS, the City Council understands the necessity of a strong school system in order to attract and keep families thereby assuring the future of our community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Richfield City Council supports the November 4, 2003 Capital Projects Levy Referendum for Technology for Richfield School District 280.
