RESOLUTION NO. 9360
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF
BILL NO. 2003-9 (TRANSITORY ORDINANCE NO. 18.23)
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the above referenced Transitory Ordinance at the
May 27,2003 City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the verbatim text of the ordinance is cumbersome, and the expense of
the publication of the complete text of the ordinance is not justified; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the following summary will clearly
inform the public of the intent and effect of Bill No. 2003-9.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, that the City Clerk shall cause the following summary of Bill No.
2003-9 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance:

BILL NO. 2003-9
A TRANSITORY ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE VACATION OF THE
6500 BLOCK OF XERXES AVENUE
The City Council has adopted Bill No. 2003-9, a transitory ordinance
entitled "An Ordinance Vacating Public Right-Of-Way and Public Utility
Easements in the 6500 Block of Xerxes Avenue, Richfield." This summary
of the ordinance is published pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Richfield City
Charter.
The purpose of this ordinance is to vacate the 6500 block of Xerxes
to allow the development of a new commercial building and parking.
Copies of the full text of the ordinance are available for public inspection in
the City Clerk's office during normal business hours or upon request by
calling 612-861-9760.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed to keep a copy of the
ordinance in her office at City Hall for public inspection and to post a full copy of the
ordinance in a public place in the City for a period of two weeks.
