RESOLUTION NO. 9293
SPECIAL COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR A SIGN PERMIT REQUEST FOR
FOUNTAINHEAD APARTMENTS AT 7611 KNOX AVENUE
(HIGHLAND MANAGEMENT GROUP, INC.)
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City of Richfield which requests
special Council approval for signs of unusual height and location on land generally located
at the Fountainhead Apartments, 7611 Knox Avenue, legally described as:
The North 10 acres of that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 33, Township 28, Range 24, Hennepin County, Minnesota lying between
the west line of the highway and a line parallel with and distant 170 feet east from
the east line of the West 5 acres of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter, except roads.
WHEREAS, the City has fully considered the request for approval of the requested
signs; and
WHEREAS the proposed signs are reasonable and appropriate for their proposed
location and purpose; and
WHEREAS the proposed signs will not have undue adverse impacts on
governmental facilities, utilities, services, or existing or proposed improvements; and
WHEREAS the use will not have undue adverse impacts on the public health,
safety, or welfare. .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, as follows:
1. Special Council approval is granted for a pylon sign, as described in City Council
Staff Report No. 20, on the Subject Property legally described above.
2. This special Council approval is subject to the following stipulations:
. All existing banner signs must be removed from the premise before sign
permits can be issued.
. Permits must be obtained for the sign included in this action before the
sign is erected.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 14th day of
January, 2003.
