12-10629r RESOLUTION NO. 10629 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR LYNDALE AVENUE SOUTH WHEREAS, the City of Richfield (the "City") is a city located within Hennepin county and is therefore eligible to access the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Grant; and WHEREAS, the City had identified the property at 6400 Lyndale Avenue (former Lyndale Garden Center)for redevelopment as part of the Lakes at Lyndale redevelopment master plan area; and WHEREAS, The Cornerstone Group has proposed a redevelopment project at 6400 Lyndale Avenue (former Lyndale Garden Center now known as Lyndale Gardens) for redevelopment; WHEREAS, the City approves participation in this program as a multi- jurisdictional project; and WHEREAS, the City recognizes the need for, and benefit of, transit oriented improvements as part of this proposed development. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council supports and otherwise affirms and ratifies the submittal of application (in accordance with Minnesota Statutes § 383B.77, Subd. 3.), for the Transit Oriented Design Program administered by Hennepin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority and authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute any agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant.
