04-9530r 130 RESOLUTION NO. 9530 RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF BILL NO. 2004-10 WHEREAS, the City has adopted the above referenced amendment to the Richfield City Code; and WHEREAS, the verbatim text of the amendment is cumbersome, and the expense of publication of the complete text is not justified. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield that the following summary is hereby approved for official publication: SUMMARY PUBLICATION BILL NO. 2004-10 AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO SECTION 905, ANIMAL CONTROL, OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF RICHFIELD. This summary of the ordinance is published pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Richfield City Charter. On October 12, 2004, the Richfield City Council adopted an ordinance designated as Bill No. 2004-10, the title of which is stated above. This summary of the ordinance is published pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Richfield City Charter. This ordinance amendment changes the name of a kennel license to multi-pet residence license; changes the licensing year to a calendar year; allows staff to approve the license request with a fee based appeal to the City Council; and limits the maximum number of animals that may be kept on a property to five, with the exception of those residential kennel license holders already having more than five animals. Copies of the ordinance are available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk during normal business hours, or upon request by calling Betsy Osborn of the Public Safety Department, Support Services Division, at (612) 861-9881.
