RESOLUTION NO. 9813
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT NO. 89841 AMONG THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MN/DOT) AND THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD TO PROVIDE FINAL DESIGN SERVICES AND ACCEPT PAYMENT FOR
MN/DOT'S PORTION OF THE DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE L YNDALE AVENUE
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, Mn/DOT wishes to reconstruct the storm sewer on Lyndale Avenue
from TH 62 to 64th Street for additional stormwater treatment purposes for the 1-
35W/Crosstown Reconstruction Project (highway purposes); and
WHEREAS, both the City and Mn/DOT will benefit from the improvements on
Lyndale Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City and Mn/DOT deem it mutually advantageous to have the City
administer the final design services; and
WHEREAS, Mn/DOT has agreed to reimburse the City for their portion of the
, design services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Richfield City Council that the
"State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement for Professional/Technical Services",
identified as Mn/DOT Agreement Number 89841, a copy of which was before the Council,
is hereby approved for the following purposes:
To provide final design services by the City in exchange for payment from
Mn/DOT to the City for Mn/DOT's share of the final design costs for the
stormwater improvements as part of the Lyndale Avenue Drainage
Improvement Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Manager are authorized
to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota on this 14th day of
September 2006.
