HRA RESOLUTION NO. 722
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
6600 OAKLAND AVENUE TO CORNERSTONE ADVOCACY SERVICE
FOR ITS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM
WHEREAS,
the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of
Richfield, Minnesota (HRA) desires to sell certain real property pursuant to and in
furtherance of its goal to remove blight and provide affordable housing, said real
property being described as follows:

Legal:Lot 18, Block 1, Auditor’s Subdivision Number 340
WHEREAS,
the HRA is authorized to sell real property within its area of
operation after a public hearing; and
WHEREAS,
Cornerstone Advocacy Service desires to provide services in
Richfield in accordance with its transitional housing program, and in accordance with
Federal HOME and CDBG guidelines and Minnesota Housing Finance Agency
rehabilitation loan guidelines for funding; and a Cooperation Agreement with the HRA;
and
WHEREAS,
a public hearing has been held after proper public notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED
by the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority in and for the City of Richfield:
1.A public hearing has been held and 6600 Oakland Avenue is authorized to be sold
for an initial sale price of $50,000 in HOME funds and a $90,000 deferred mortgage
by the HRA to Cornerstone Advocacy Service and in accordance with a Cooperation
Agreement with the HRA.
2.The Chairperson and Acting Executive Director are authorized to execute a
Purchase Agreement and other agreements as required to effectuate the sale
followed by a rehabilitation project by Cornerstone Advocacy Service.
Adopted by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of
Richfield, Minnesota this 16th day of August, 1999.
